Notes [mysterious crystal sphere where the Junaship goes to die] [First officially explored by the "Delorea", a freebooter crewed by evacuees from the "Alien Dreadnought" in Year of the Anointed 54.] [Naming rights for the Sphere go to Michela Pavic the Cosmomancer] -In addition, there are two Large bodies in cometary orbits, an unnamed dead Earth World, and Aroc's Shard, an Ice World teeming with game. How much their environments alter with their orbits is unknown. -Nimroth: This is the world where the Juna Dreadnought was finally destroyed. The groundling inhabitants are red and blonde haired humans. They speak an archaic form of common and seem to be descendants of victims of the alien dreadnought. The world is ice-locked due to the activities of a goddess known as the Cold Woman. There are three major city-states, Bajiluca - a mining dungeon town, Snake River Fastness - a city on the big jungle river, and Bjerkinbury in the north. There is a large mana and life dead area near this northern town, which is near where both the Juna Dreadnought and the Iron Dart crashed. Groundling Bjerkinburgers, hired by a Bajilucan merchant, attempted to salvage from the Juna wreck, apparently for the benefit of a mysterious being who might be a 'Lemonhead', possibly a race that were the Juna's enemy. There are a many adventurers out in the wilderness beyond the rift valley where these three city-states are situated. The adventurers are mostly either fighting Cold Woman cultists OR fighting against what sounds like a nest of advanced Thri-Kreen.

by Spike A concept that was delivered in one of the spelljamming siminars at Gen-Con. It is a sphere that is almost totally filled with rock. The whole inside of the sphere is filled with rock, there are are a few openings into the sphere. Think of an ant hive inside of a glass ball, there are literally millions of miles of tunnels in the sphere. Some of these tunnels are large enough to allow spelljamming speeds. There are small fire bodies in some of the larger caverns. Most of these are really small, only 500 feet at the most, and relatively cool compared to normal fire bodies.

Notes : Pearlspace is a flooded crystal sphere. Approximately a third of its total volume consists of air, but the sphere actually resembles a goldfish bowl with a top. The worlds swirl around the central elemental sapphire jewel sun which heats the waters to bearable temperatures. -The space inside the sphere is either water (for the most part) or humid air in which the clouds conceal several legendary other worlds not included here. -Pearlspace is reputed to be one of three "Homespheres" for ancient races of wildspace Collectively known as the Old Folk, Forerunners or simply the Ancients. -The Sphere is currently the frontline in a colonial war between EIN and Shou Lung forces. Shou Lung forces in this sphere and its nearspace are commanded by Admiral Kinshiwan Hiu Sing Dao. EIN forces are under the join command of (Sea Elf) Admiral Naurasrin DaltheRiocsen and Marine General (Golden Elf) Swaro "the Longlived" Farseer. There are also small forces of threat races such as the Illithids of Falxspace, Scro from the Ships' Graveyard fleet, Neogi of the Fourth Recruiter (ie slaver) Fleet and a few miserable factions of aquatic beholderkin who usually try and make common cause with whomever is winning.

Contact Resident Thornspace Expert Terry Hawkins Sphere is briefly mentioned in Dragon Issue 175, page 4. An elven controlled sphere known for its gargantuan thorn worlds Bramble and Briar. Scro and Illithids sometimes attempt to scout it (at great peril) on the assumption it is the choise location for Lionheart. Non-elves are not tolerated within the sphere and a war-clan of loyal Bionoids is always on the ready to help enforce the elven claim. A major resupply station of the IEN is located within the branches of Bramble. Many smaller elven communities live among the live worlds of the Forest belt.
